blurb

I studied at Folkestone School of Art and Brighton College of Art. I have exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Sxhibition, the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Society of Women Artists, the Society of Feline Artists, the Chelsea Arts Club, the London Sketch Club and many other venues. I am particularly interested in nudes and portraits. In my paintings and drawings I try to convey the beauty and sensuality of the human form in a linear style, whilst still suggesting its solidity. My paintings of nudes are either headless or with just a suggestion of a face, this is so as not to take the attention away from the body.
When drawing and painting portraits, I want them to come to life for the viewer so that he/she gets a real sense of who the person is, as well as their outward appearance. I also specialise in cat and animal portraits.
In the last couple of years I have returned to etching and I am enjoying working with aquatint.
